Terrance Donnell "Chet"Brooks (born January 1, 1966) is an American former professionalfootball player who was asafety for three seasons with theSan Francisco 49ers of theNational Football League (NFL). He playedcollege football for theTexas A&M Aggies and coined the name "Wrecking Crew" for their defense.[1] Brooks was selected by the 49ers in the 11th round of the1988 NFL draft.[2] He started inSuper Bowl XXIV.
Brooks suffered a career-ending injury during the 49ers' game vs. theGreen Bay Packers atLambeau Field on November 4, 1990.
