Chelae orChelai (Ancient Greek:Χῆλαι) was a coastal town ofancient Bithynia located on thePontus Euxinus. It appears in theTabula Peutingeriana, and in thePeriplus Ponti Euxini written byArrian, who places it 20stadia east ofThynias and 180 west of the mouth of theSangarius River.
Its site is located nearCebice inAsiatic Turkey.[1][2]
