It is covered by Ashtamudi Lake and located near the coast ofIndian Ocean.It contains a famous Devi temple and Subramanya temple along with St Joseph's Church. It has only 2 outer connections via Dalavapuram pallikodi Bridge and Pavumba Bridge.
