TheCharysh (Russian:Чарыш;Altay:Чарас,Çaras) is a river in south-westernSiberia inRussia, flowing into the left bank of theOb.[1] It is 547 kilometres (340 mi) long, and has adrainage basin of 22,200 square kilometres (8,600 sq mi).[2] Its source is in the Korgon mountains in theAltai Republic, then descends into the pre-altaic depression in theAltai Krai, and it flows into the Ob 100 kilometres (62 mi) upstream of the regional capital ofBarnaul. Its largest tributaries are the Inya, Belaya and Loktevka from the left, and the Maralikha from the right.[1] The main settlements on the Charysh areUst-Kan,Charyshskoye,Krasnoshchyokovo,Ust-Kalmanka andUst-Charyshskaya Pristan.
Beloglazovo is a village located on the Charysh.[3]
