Chadisia (Ancient Greek:Χαδισία), alsoChadisius orChadisios (Χαδίσιος), was a town ofancient Pontus, not far from the coast on a river of the same name.[1][2]Hecataeus, quoted byStephanus of Byzantium, speaks of Chadisia as a city of theLeucosyri, that is, of the group the Persians called theCappadocians; and he says, "the plain Themiscyra extends from Chadisia to the Thermodon."Menippus, in hisPeriplus of the two Ponti, also quoted by Stephanus, says: "from theLycastus to the village and riverChadisius is 150stadia, and from the Chadisius to the riverIris 100 stadia."[1]
Its site is located nearKarabahçe inAsiatic Turkey.[3][4]
