Ceylanpınar (Kurdish:Serêkaniyê,[2]Arabic:رأس العين Ra's al 'Ayn,Ottoman Turkish:رأس العينResülayn[3]) is a municipality anddistrict ofŞanlıurfa Province,Turkey.[4] Its area is 1,589 km2,[5] and its population is 90,440 (2022).[1] On theborder with Syria, it is reached by a long straight roadD.905 across the plain south fromViranşehir. It forms adivided city withRa's al-'Ayn inSyria and there is aborder crossing.

Evren Paşa neighborhood is populated byUzbeks, who areAfghan refugees.[7]
Ceylanpınar has ahot semi-arid climate (Köppen climate classification:BSh). Summers are extremely hot with virtually no rain at all, winters tend to be cool but can become very cold due to northeasterly winds.[8]
