TheCeredigion League (known asThe Costcutter Ceredigion League for sponsorship purposes)[1] is aWelshfootball league for the county ofCeredigion. It is at the fifth to seventh levels of theWelsh football league system. It was founded in 1921 as theCardiganshire League inLampeter. The eleven founding teams wereAberaeron, Aberystwyth Battery, Conservative FC,College Reserves,Drefach,Lampeter,Llandysul, Llanybydder,Newcastle Emlyn,Padarn United and Parish Hall United.[2][3] Newcastle Emlyn withdrew from the league without playing games.
