Celtic tribe

Celegeri were aCeltic[1] tribe, together with theDindari a branch of theScordisci that migrated toIllyria after theGallic invasion of the Balkans in 279 BC. They inhabitedMoesia Superior[2] (modernCentral Serbia), and are registered byPliny as living between theDardanoi and theTriballi. They appear in north-westernmostThrace in the 1st century BC.[3] They were replaced by theRomanizedThracio-CelticTricornenses.[4]

TheMunicipium Celegerorum is presentIvanjica,Serbia.
