TheCathedral of Saint George is aSyriac Orthodoxcathedral located inBab Tuma district, inOld Damascus,Syria. The Cathedral acts as the seat of theSyriac Orthodox Church since 1959.[1][2][3] It houses theSyriac Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch, currentlyIgnatius Aphrem II as the bishop ofSyriac Orthodox Patriarchal Archdiocese of Damascus.
