Those kingdoms, duchies and othercrown lands (Kronländer) of theKingdom of Hungary from 1867 to 1918. Formally known as theLands of the Crown of Saint Stephen, it was informally known as "Transleithania". Following the constitutional changes of theAustro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867, the Transleithanian crown lands had a separate legal identity to "The Kingdoms and Lands represented in theImperial Council", informally known as "Cisleithania". Together, Transleithania and Cisleithania constituted theAustro-Hungarian Empire or "Dual Monarchy".
