Cat phones is a discontinued range oftoughened and strengthenedmobile phones that was developed and marketed from 2012 to 2024 by British companyBullitt Group, under license fromCaterpillar Inc., carrying theCATbranding.[1] In 2025, Caterpillar announced they had licensed the range internationally to the Japanese/American manufacturer Orbic.[3][4]

The range was developed, manufactured and sold by Bullitt Mobile Ltd,[5] part of theBritishtelecommunications andconsumer electronics technology companyBullitt Group Ltd, under exclusivelicense fromCaterpillar Inc. since 2012.[1]

Cat phones were toughened devices and includedrugged smartphones. The range included standardfeature phones, enhanced specificationsmartphones which operate on theAndroid operating system, and related accessories.

In early 2024 the phonemaker closed down.[6]
