Castle to Castle is the English title of the 1957 novel byLouis-Ferdinand Céline, titled in FrenchD'un château l'autre. The book features Céline's experiences in exile with theVichy French government atSigmaringen, Germany, towards the end ofWorld War II. One of the characters which appears is the actorRobert Le Vigan, a close friend.
For the first U.S. edition, translatorRalph Manheim won the 1970National Book Award incategory Translation.[1]
It was adapted into the 2015graphic novelLa Cavale du Dr Destouches byPaul Brizzi andGaëtan Brizzi, along with Céline's other novelsNorth andRigadoon.[2]
