Carpornis, theberryeaters, is a genus of birds in the familyCotingidae. These primarilyfrugivorous birds areendemic to the southern half of theAtlantic forest (easternBrazil).
The genus contains two species.[1] Both species are mainly greenish-yellow with a black hood.[2] The genus issister to the genusSnowornis that contains two pihas.[3]
