Carlos de los Santos Jara Saguier (born 25 August 1950)[1] is aParaguayan formerfootball player who works as acoach. He is a current member ofCerro Porteño's staff.
Carlos is one of the sevenJara Saguier brothers that played professionalfootball in Paraguay.[2]

Born inAsunción, Jara Saguier played as a midfielder and spent the best years of his career atCerro Porteño of Paraguay andCruz Azul of Mexico.[3] He played for theParaguay national team from 1970 to 1981.
As a coach, Jara Saguier led the Paraguay national team to a historic silver medal in the2004 Olympic Games, and in 2005 he ledQuerétaro F.C. of Mexico to his first Primera A championship.
Jara Saguier also coached clubs likeLibertad,Nacional,Olimpia andSportivo Luqueño of Paraguay andMonterrey FC andCruz Azul Hidalgo of México.
