Carlo Pagulayan (born June 24, 1978) is aFilipinofreelancecomic book artist.
He graduated with a bachelor's degree inIndustrial Engineering from theSanto Tomas branch campus of thePolytechnic University of the Philippines inSanto Tomas,Batangas.
Pagulayan began his career with a 3-page sequential forDark Horse Comics, written byDoug Petrie, to aid the victims of the9-11 attacks, and as a tribute to the fallenWorld Trade Center Twin Towers (2001). He has since had assignments with bothMarvel andDC, including runs onElektra,Emma Frost,The Incredible Hulk, andDeathstroke.
He was a penciler on Marvel's popularPlanet Hulk storyline, which was adapted into ananimated feature film in 2010. Elements from the story were also incorporated into theMarvel Studios filmThor: Ragnarok (2017). Pagulayan co-created the Sakaaran race which have appeared inGuardians of the Galaxy (2014) andAvengers: Endgame (2019).
