Italian wool mill

Carlo Barbera (officiallyLanificio Carlo Barberas.r.l.) is an Italianwool mill established in 1949 which has been described as "Biella's premier mill".[1] It is currently owned byKiton.[2][3] In the second generation of the family business,Luciano Barbera established aready-to-wear brand that is a wholly separate business.[4]

In 2010 the company had a $5.8 million debt and was in negativecash flow,[5] so the mill fabric wasacquired by the Neapolitan luxury clothing company Kiton. The fabrics are vended by Huddersfield Fine Worsteds.[6]
