Carlingford is a Canadian rural community inVictoria County, New Brunswick,[1] on theCanada–United States border betweenMaine and New Brunswick. Carlingford is midway betweenPerth-Andover andFort Fairfield onRoute 190, also known as the Fort Road, which ends at theCanada Border Services Agency inspection station.
A farming community, Carlingford's economy relies heavily onpotatoes.
AnAnglophone community, Carlingford students attend classes in Perth-Andover underSchool District 14. The schools areSouthern Victoria High School,Perth Andover Middle School, andAndover Elementary School.
The area was named afterJohn Carling.[2]
