Carl Boggs (born July 22, 1937) is an American academic who issocial science andfilm studies professor at theNational University in Los Angeles.^[1]

He received his Ph.D. in Political Science from theUniversity of California, Berkeley in 1970. He has also taught at theUniversity of South Carolina andWashington University in St. Louis.^[2][3]

He has written numerous books on subjects includingsocial theory,European andAmerican politics, andmilitary policy. He has contributed to severalsocialist organizations and journals,^[4] such asSolidarity, the LA Socialist Community School,^[5] and theFree Speech Movement.^[6]

He received a Charles A. McCoy Career Achievement Award.^[7][8]
