TheCaren Range is a low and mostly tree-coveredmountain range in thePacific Ranges of theCoast Mountains in southwesternBritish Columbia,Canada. It lies along the eastern shore of theSechelt Peninsula, southeast ofSakinaw Lake,[1] about 74 km northwest ofVancouver. It has an area of 169 km2 and containsSpipiyus Provincial Park.[2] The name of the range is a long-standing misinterpretation of Carew. It was named forBenjamin Hallowell Carew. The range is noted for its ancient trees.[3]: 38
