Carbacephem

Carbacephems are a class of syntheticantibiotics, based on the structure ofcephalosporin, acephem. Carbacephems are similar to cephems, but with a carbon substituted for the sulfur.[1]

It prevents bacterial cell division by inhibiting cell wall synthesis.[citation needed]
