TheCape Town Science Centre is a not-for-profit[1]science centre inCape Town,South Africa. It forms part of a wide range of non-classroom initiatives to improve the quality of science understanding andscience literacy in South Africa.
Until early 2010, the MTN Sciencentre was located in theCanal Walk shopping mall.[2] It reopened inObservatory in 2011.[3]
The MTN Sciencentre'sEricssoncell phone is in theGuinness Book of World Records as the world's largest working cell phone.[4]
