Cape Howe is a coastalheadland in easternAustralia, forming the south-eastern end of theBlack-Allan Line, a portion of the border betweenNew South Wales andVictoria.
Cape Howe was named byCaptain Cook when he passed it on 20 April 1770, honouringAdmiral Earl Howe who wasTreasurer of the British Royal Navy at the time. The coordinates Cook gave are almost exactly the modern surveyed location.[1]
