Intypography,cap height is the height of acapital letter above thebaseline for a particulartypeface.[1] It specifically is the height of capital letters that are flat—such asH orI—as opposed to round letters such asO, or pointed letters likeA, both of which may displayovershoot. The height of the small letters is thex-height.
