Cape Sainte Marie (Malagasy:Tanjona Vohimena;French:cap Sainte-Marie), formerly known asCape Romain andCape St. Mary,[2] is the southernmost point ofMadagascar. It is situated in theAndroy region 42 kilometres (26 mi) fromTsiombe. It is the location of the Cap Sainte-Marie Special Reserve, a nature reserve which occupies most of the cape[3] and was created in 1962.[4]
