Ramón Trujillo is the current General Coordinator. TheCommunist Party of the Canaries (PCC-PCE, Canarian federation ofPCE) is the major member of the coalition.
ICU has assemblies in the islands ofLanzarote,La Palma,Fuerteventura,Gran Canaria,Tenerife andEl Hierro. The organization had an electoral pact withSocialists for Tenerife (SxT), a split ofPSOE in the island ofTenerife, between 2011 and 2015.
