California's 24th senatorial district is one of 40CaliforniaState Senate districts. It is currently represented byDemocrat Ben Allen of Santa Monica.

District profile

The district encompasses theWestsideLos Angeles neighborhoods ofVenice,West Los Angeles,Pacific Palisades,Brentwood,Bel Air,Century City,Sunset Strip,Laurel Canyon,Hollywood, andMiracle Mile; and theSanta Monica Mountains cities such asHidden Hills,Calabasas,Topanga, andMalibu. In addition, the district includes most of theSouth Bay cities ofLos Angeles County, includingRancho Palos Verdes,Rolling Hills,Torrance,Redondo Beach,Manhattan Beach,El Segundo,Marina del Rey,Santa Monica,Beverly Hills, andWest Hollywood.
