Calderwood is a village inAmathole District Municipality in theEastern Cape province ofSouth Africa.

Settlement some 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) south-east ofFort Beaufort and 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) south-west ofAlice. It was named after Henry Calderwood[2] of theLondon Missionary Society, author ofCaffres and Caffre Missions.[3]
