CSP-2503 is apotent andselective5-HT1A receptoragonist,5-HT2A receptorantagonist, and5-HT3 receptor antagonist of thenaphthylpiperazine class.[1] Firstsynthesized in 2003, it was designed based oncomputational models andQSAR studies.[2][3] In rat studies, CSP-2503 has demonstratedanxiolytic effects, and thus has been suggested as a treatment foranxiety in humans with a multimodalmechanism of action.[1]
