CGP-37849 is a competitiveantagonist at theNMDA receptor.[1] It is a potent, orally activeanticonvulsant in animal models,[2] and was researched for the treatment ofepilepsy.[3] It also hasneuroprotective activity[4] and showsantidepressant[5][6] andanxiolytic effects.[7][8]
