Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase type IV is anenzyme that in humans is encoded by theCAMK4gene.[5]

The product of this gene belongs to theserine/threonine protein kinase cluster, and to theCa2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase (CAMK) group. This enzyme is a multifunctional serine/threonine protein kinase with limited tissue distribution, that has been implicated in transcriptional regulation inlymphocytes, neurons, andmale germ cells.[6]
