TheCèze (French pronunciation:[sɛz];Occitan:Céser) is akarstic Frenchriver, a right tributary of theRhône.[1] It runs through thedepartments ofLozère andGard in theOccitanieregion. It is 128 km (80 mi) long,[2] and its basin area is 1,360 km2 (530 sq mi).[3] Its source is in theCévennes mountains, nearSaint-André-Capcèze. It flows throughBessèges,Saint-Ambroix,Bagnols-sur-Cèze, and it flows into the Rhône atCodolet, southwest ofOrange.

Its longest tributaries are the Luech, Auzon, Tave, Ganière andAiguillon.[2]

In the dry season, the Cèze sometimes dries up.[4]
