Byron Dalton Haines (November 30, 1914 – March 9, 2008) was an American professionalfootballhalfback who played one season in theNational Football League (NFL) for thePittsburgh Pirates. He playedcollege football at theUniversity of Washington and was selected in the seventh round of the1937 NFL draft.[1]
Haines was a three-year letterman at halfback while at Washington from 1934 to 1936, concluding with1937 Rose Bowl. Following his Washington career, Byron played in theChicago Tribune All-Star Game.[2]
