Byron Donnell Beams (September 8, 1935 – November 14, 1992) was anAmerican footballoffensive tackle anddefensive tackle who played in theNational Football League (NFL) and theAmerican Football League (AFL). He playedcollege football for theNotre Dame Fighting Irish. Beams was selected by theLos Angeles Rams in the 20th round of the1957 NFL draft. He played for thePittsburgh Steelers from 1959 to 1960, and in the AFL for theHouston Oilers in 1961.
