Byfield National Park is anational park in theShire of Livingstone,Queensland, Australia.[1]

The park is 70 km north-east ofRockhampton.[2] The parks encloses 12 km of coastline including four beaches.[3]
To the north of the national park isShoalwater Bay and Byfield State Forest is located to the west of Byfield National Park.
The park contains a number offour-wheel drive tracks and camping areas.[4]
The average elevation of the terrain in the park is 48 metres.[5]
The park demarcates the southern boundary of atropical savannah climate (Köppen:Aw), although thesubtropics are almost a degree to the south.[6]
The park is home toPandanus tectorius, a plant useful againstcoastal erosion and provides important habitat for many insects and animals. Rangers are fighting a destructive pest known as thepandanus planthopper in the park, using various means including the use of a native wasp calledAphanomerus pusillus.[7]
Water Park Creek, acreek which flows through the park, contains a population ofRhadinocentrus ornatus, a small freshwater fish species.[8]
