Burton Millard (1828 – April 7, 1862) was an American machinist andRepublican politician. He served one term in theWisconsin State Assembly. He died at theSiege of Yorktown during theAmerican Civil War.
Born inScio, New York, Millard moved toWausau, Wisconsin. He owned a machine shop. In 1855, he served as Sheriff ofMarathon County, Wisconsin, and coroner of the county. In 1858, Millard served in theWisconsin State Assembly. He served as a commissary sergeant in the5th Wisconsin Infantry Regiment during theAmerican Civil War and was killed while on duty inLee's Mill Earthworks,Virginia.[1]
