TheBurlington Record is a weeklynewspaper inBurlington, Colorado since 1888. It was published byPrairie Mountain Publishing, which is owned byMediaNews Group, until 2024. The paper ceased was revived by Tom Bredehoft. The paper's coverage extended toBethune,Stratton, andSeibert.
TheBurlington Record was founded in 1888.[1]Prairie Mountain Media closed the paper on July 25, 2024.[2][3] However, Tom Bredehoft, owner ofThe Flagler News andMile Saver Shopper, legally claimed the publication’s name and resumed printing of theBurlington Record in August.[4] But then Bredehoft ceased publishing his other two papers in December after his two biggest advertisers pulled support. By then theBurlington Record was renamed toThe Record, and coverage had been expanded regionally.[5]
