TheBullenbeisser (German:Bullenbeißer), also known as theGerman Bulldog, is an extinctbreed ofdog known for itsstrength andagility.[citation needed] It is an ancestor of both the modernBoxer and theEnglish bulldog.[1]

The two varieties of Bullenbeisser: the largeDanziger variety and the smallBrabanter variety.
