Bryan James Gilfillan (born 14 September 1984), is afootball manager and former player who played as adefender ormidfielder. He is currently the manager ofGretna 2008.[2]
He representedNorthern Ireland at under-21 level.
Gilfillan began his career withInverness Caledonian Thistle in 2000, where he made a handful of substitute appearances before a loan spell atBrora Rangers in 2001. He later moved toGretna, scoring 6 goals in 21 appearances, in a season that saw Gretna promoted toDivision Two asScottish Third Division 2004-05 champions.[3] After a short spell atStranraer and two years withPeterhead, Gilfillan went to Australia to play forSunshine Coast in theQueensland State League. He returned to Scotland in December 2008, signing forAnnan Athletic.
Although he was born in Scotland, Gilfillan's mother's family come from Northern Ireland, and he was first called up their under-21 team in 2005.
