Bronson Rechsteiner (born October 24, 1997) is an Americanprofessional wrestler and formerfootball player. He is signed toWWE, where he performs on theRawbrand under thering nameBron Breakker and is a member ofThe Visionstable.

Born inWoodstock, Georgia, Rechsteiner playedhigh school football and briefly joined theBaltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agentfullback. He made his professional wrestling debut in 2020 and signed with WWE in 2021, where he spent three years in theNXT developmental brand before joining the main roster in 2024.

A second-generation professional wrestler, Rechsteiner is the son ofRick Steiner and the nephew ofScott Steiner (who performed together as theSteiner Brothers). He is a formertwo-timeWWE Intercontinental Champion,two-timeNXT Champion, and aone-timeNXT Tag Team Champion. He was voted "Rookie of the Year" for 2022 by readers of theWrestling Observer Newsletter.

Early life and football career

Rechsteiner was born inWoodstock, Georgia. He attendedEtowah High School in Woodstock, where he playedfootball, winningvarsity letters in three years.[6] He also participated inwrestling, winning the GeorgiaClass AAAAAA state championship (220 lb weight class) in 2016.[7] After graduating from high school, Rechsteiner went on to study at Georgia'sKennesaw State University, majoring incriminal justice. While attending Kennesaw, Rechsteiner playedfootball for theKennesaw State Owls. As a freshman in 2016 he playedspecial teams anddefense; in 2017, he moved to offense as arunning back.[6][4] In February 2020, Rechsteiner entered theNational Football League Draft but was not drafted.[8] In April 2020, he was signed by theBaltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agentfullback.[9][10] He was released in August 2020.[11][failed verification]

Wrestling under his real name, Rechsteiner debuted in professional wrestling on October 8, 2020, at the "WrestleJam 8" event promoted by AWF/WOW inRinggold, Georgia. He defeated Jamie Hall.[3][4]

WWE (2021–present)

NXT (2021–2024)

In February 2021, WWE announced Rechsteiner had signed a developmental contract with the company.[13] Later that month, he was assigned to theWWE Performance Center inOrlando, Florida for training.[4][5] At theWrestleMania Backlashpay-per-view on May 16, Rechsteiner and several other wrestlers portrayed "zombies" in alumberjack match betweenDamian Priest andThe Miz.[14] In August 2021, he appeared on an episode ofNXT, portraying a security guard who was attacked bySamoa Joe.[15]

Rechsteiner wrestled his first match for WWE on the September 14, 2021, episode ofNXT under the ring nameBron Breakker, defeatingLA Knight;[2][16] he later had a staredown with newNXT ChampionTommaso Ciampa.[17] Breakker unsuccessfully challenged Ciampa for the title atNXT Halloween Havoc on October 26.[18] In November 2021, Breakker participated in WWE's tour of the United Kingdom.[19] AtNXT WarGames on December 5, Breakker teamed withCarmelo Hayes,Grayson Waller, andTony D'Angelo (as "Team 2.0") to defeat Ciampa, Knight,Johnny Gargano, andPete Dunne ("Team Black & Gold") in aWarGames match, with Breakker pinning Ciampa.[20]

AtNXT New Year's Evil on January 4, 2022, Breakker defeated Ciampa by submission to win the NXT Championship.[21] AtNXT Vengeance Day on February 15, he made his first successful title defense, defeatingSantos Escobar.[22] Breakker made his main roster debut on the March 7 episode ofRaw, teaming with Ciampa to defeatDolph Ziggler andRobert Roode in atag team match.[23] AtNXT Roadblock the following day, Breakker defended the NXT Championship against Ciampa and Ziggler in atriple threat match, with Ziggler pinning Ciampa to end Breakker's first reign at 63 days.[24] On April 1, Breakker inducted his father and uncle into theWWE Hall of Fame;[25] the following night atNXT Stand & Deliver, Breakker failed to regain the title from Ziggler after interference from Roode.[26]

On the April 4, 2022 episode ofRaw, Breakker defeated Ziggler to win the NXT Championship for a second time.[27] On the following episode ofNXT, he retained the title againstGunther.[28] Breakker subsequently began feuding withJoe Gacy after Gacy kidnapped Rick Steiner,[29] leading to a match between the two atSpring Breakin' on May 3, where Breakker defeated Gacy to retain the title.[30] AtNXT In Your House on June 4, he defeated Gacy in a rematch, with the added stipulation that he would lose the title if he got disqualified.[31] AtNXT The Great American Bash on July 5, Breakker retained the title againstCameron Grimes, and was attacked by the debutingJD McDonagh after the match.[32] AtNXT Heatwave on August 16, Breakker retained the title against McDonagh; after the match, he was confronted byNXT United Kingdom ChampionTyler Bate.[33] AtWorlds Collide on September 4, Breakker defeated Bate to unify the NXT Championship and NXT United Kingdom Championship. However, he is not recognized as the final NXT United Kingdom Champion.[34][35] AtNXT Halloween Havoc on October 22, Breakker defeated McDonagh andIlja Dragunov in a triple threat match to retain the NXT Championship.[36] AtNXT Deadline on December 10, Breakker successfully defended the NXT Championship againstApollo Crews.[37] AtNXT New Year's Evil on January 10, 2023, Breakker defeated Grayson Waller viacountout to retain the NXT Championship.[38] AtNXT Vengeance Day on February 4, he defeated Waller once again, this time in acage match.[39] AtNXT Stand & Deliver on April 1, Breakker lost the title to Carmelo Hayes, ending his second reign at 362 days.[40]

On the April 4, 2023 episode ofNXT, Breakker attacked Hayes, turningheel.[41][42] He cemented his new villainous persona the next week by interruptingChase University in the ring, verbally insulting the audience, and attackingAndre Chase.[43] AtSpring Breakin' on April 25, Breakker defeated Chase via submission.[44] AtNXT Battleground on May 28, Breakker failed to regain the NXT Championship from Hayes.[45] AtNXT Gold Rush on June 20, Breakker unsuccessfully challengedSeth Rollins for theWorld Heavyweight Championship.[46] AtNXT Heatwave on August 22, Breakker attackedVon Wagner;[47] on the September 6 episode ofNXT, he bludgeoned Wagner with a set of steel steps.[48] Later that month, Breakker took part in theSuperstar Spectacle inHyderabad, India, defeatingOdyssey Jones.[49] AtNXT No Mercy on September 30, Breakker lost toBaron Corbin.[50] On the October 10 episode ofNXT, Breakker (withPaul Heyman in his corner) lost to Carmelo Hayes (withJohn Cena in his corner; following the match, Breakker attacked Hayes, promptingThe Undertaker to come to the ring andchokeslam Breakker.[51] AtNXT Halloween Havoc later that month, Breakker defeatedMr. Stone.[52] On the November 28 episode ofNXT, Breakker defeatedEddy Thorpe to qualify for theIron Survivor Challenge atNXT Deadline,[53] which was won byTrick Williams.[54]

In January 2024, Breakker began to work with Baron Corbin as a tag team, winning theDusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament and later, theNXT Tag Team Championship after they defeatedTony D'Angelo andChanning "Stacks" Lorenzo.[55][56] While they retained the titles atNXT Stand & Deliver, againstAxiom andNathan Frazer,[57] they lost in a rematch on the April 9 episode ofNXT.[58]

Intercontinental Champion (2024–2025)

On the February 16, 2024 episode ofSmackDown, Breakker joined theSmackDown brand.[59] The next week, Breakker made his in-ring debut for SmackDown by defeatingDante Chen.[60] In the2024 WWE Draft that April, Breakker was drafted to theRaw brand.[61] AtMoney in the Bank on July 6, Breakker unsuccessfully challengedSami Zayn for theIntercontinental Championship, marking his firstpinfall loss since joining the main roster.[62] In a rematch atSummerSlam the following month, Breakker defeated Zayn to win the title.[63] On the August 12 episode of Raw, Breakker defeated Zayn to retain the title in atwo out of three falls match, ending their feud.[64] On the September 23 episode ofRaw, Breakker lost the title toJey Uso, ending his reign at 51 days.[65] On the October 21 episode ofRaw, he defeated Uso to regain the Intercontinental Championship after interference byThe Bloodline.[66] AtSurvivor Series: WarGames on November 30, Breakker successfully defended the title againstLudwig Kaiser andSheamus in atriple threat match.[67] In February 2025, Breakker competed in theRoyal Rumble, eliminating three wrestlers before being eliminated byRoman Reigns.[68] On Night 2 ofWrestleMania 41, Breakker lost the title toDominik Mysterio in afatal four-way match also involvingPenta andFinn Bálor, the latter of whom Mysterio pinned, ending his second reign at 181 days.[69]

The Vision (2025–present)

On the April 21, 2025 episode ofRaw, Breakker attacked Roman Reigns andCM Punk, aligning himself withSeth Rollins andPaul Heyman. In May 2025 atSaturday Night's Main Event XXXIX, Breakker and Rollins defeated Punk and Sami Zayn after interference fromBronson Reed, who would go on to join their alliance.[70] In August 2025 atSummerSlam, Breakker and Reed were defeated by Roman Reigns and Jey Uso.[71] Later that month, the alliance of Breakker, Rollins, Reed, and Heyman was dubbed "The Vision".[72] AtWrestlepalooza, Breakker and Reed defeatedThe Usos with LA Knight serving as thespecial guest referee.[73] On the October 13 episode ofRaw, Breakker and Reed turned on Rollins, exiling him from The Vision.[74]

Professional wrestling style and persona

Breakker wrestles in a "powerhouse" style.[75] His finishing moves are acamel clutch dubbed theSteiner Recliner (a move adopted from his uncleScott Steiner),[3][21][44] agorilla press powerslam,[1][2][16] and aspear.[37]

Rechsteiner appeared as a playable character in the 2020 video gameMadden NFL 21 as a fullback for the Baltimore Ravens. He also appeared (as Bron Breakker) as a playable character inWWE 2K23,[76]WWE 2K24, andWWE 2K25. In 2025, Rechsteiner appeared (as Bron Breakker) in a commercial forIntuit.

Personal life

As of October 2024,[update] Rechsteiner is in a relationship with fellow WWE professional wrestlerIzzi Dame.[77] He was previously in a relationship with former WWE professional wrestlerCora Jade.[78][79]
