Brion Saunderson (born 2003) is an Irishhurler. At club level, he plays withMidleton and at inter-county level with theCork senior hurling team.
Saunderson first played hurling at juvenile and underage levels with theMidleton club. He later played as a schoolboy withMidleton CBS Secondary School in theHarty Cup before attendingUniversity College Cork (UCC).[1] Saunderson was part of theUCC team that won theCanon O'Brien Cup in 2024.[2]
After progressing from the underage grades, Saunderson first played at adult club level with Midleton as goalkeeper with the senior team in 2021. He won aCork PSHC medal in his debut season as Midleton beatGlen Rovers in thefinal.[3]
Saunderson first appeared forCork during a two-year stint as goalkeeper with theminor team in 2019 and 2020.[4][5] He later spent two years with the under-20 team, culminating with a defeat ofOffaly in the2023 All-Ireland under-20 final.[6] Saunderson was drafted onto thesenior team following this victory and made his debut in the pre-seasonMunster SHL in 2024.[7]
