Reception

[edit]

Natalia Nowecka, writing forRadio Eska, considered the series overly derivative of American teen dramas and called it "masochistic entertainment" made by "creators [that] are almost ashamed of their Polishness and try to hide it at all costs".[4] Małgorzata Major ofWirtualnemedia.pl praised the show's casting, but found the show formulaic.[5]

Zuzanna Macieszko ofCiąg Dalszy Nastąpi, astudent publication of theUniversity of Gdańsk, concluded that the show was "a Polish version ofEuphoria mixed withElite". She praised the actors' performances, especially Sebastian Dela, who played Tomek Bielecki, and the show's setting inGdańsk, but found the language used "formulaic" and the imagery unrealistic.[6] Tomasz Zacharczuk, oftrojmiasto.pl, criticised the show's dialogue, calling it "pure torture", and said that the series takes a "TikTok-esque approach" which would appeal to teenage audiences.[7] Maja Mikołajczyk ofNaTemat.pl said that the show is enjoyable due to its "visual appeal", but compared the acting to "androids pretending to be humans".[8]
