TheBridlington Free Press is a newspaper that was launched in 1859,[4] is now owned byNational World and is distributed in theBridlington area of theEast Riding of Yorkshire,England.
A new edition of the paper is released every Thursday.
The editor is Steve Bambridge[5] who is also editor ofThe Scarborough News,[6]The Pocklington Post,The Filey Mercury andThe Whitby Gazette.[7]
The paper also employs a number of freelance editorial and photographic staff members.
A new independent paper, theBridlington Echo was launched in July 2016 in competition against theBridlington Free Press.[8]
