Brian Guthrie is an American politician who has represented the 25th district of theOklahoma Senate since 2024.

Life and career

Guthrie was born inTulsa, Oklahoma. He attendedTulsa Community College, earning hisassociate's degree in 2002.[1] He started a construction company before transitioning into real estate flipping. In 2011, he was appointed to theBixby city council and he was elected mayor in 2019.[2]

In 2024, Guthrie ran for theOklahoma Senate's 25th district to succeedJoe Newhouse. He was endorsed by GovernorKevin Stitt in the Republican primary election.[2] In June 2024, Guthrie defeatedJeff Boatman in the primary election.[3] In November 2024, he defeated former state representativeKaren Gaddis in thegeneral election, winning 67 percent of the votes.[4] He assumed office on November 13, 2024.[5]
