The community is located approximately 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) east ofQuartzsite and 4 miles (6 km) northeast ofInterstate 10 onU.S. Route 60 (US 60). Its population was 466 as of the2020 census. The community lies 5 miles (8 km) east of thePlomosa Mountains, and it is the closest community to theNew Water Mountains Wilderness, five air miles to the south. Brenda is four miles northeast of the western terminus of US 60 (the last community on the highway westbound).
