Brandon Brown (born 1988) is an Americanfootball executive who is theassistant general manager for theNew York Giants of theNational Football League (NFL). He previously served in various scouting and executive roles for thePhiladelphia Eagles from 2017 to 2021.
Brown playedcollege football atFordham University as adefensive back from 2006 to 2009. He began his career as a pro personnel intern for theNew York Jets in 2012 and has also previously served atBoston College,Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles.
Born inGlen Cove, New York, Brown attendedSt. Anthony's High School inSouth Huntington, New York. He then attended and playedcollege football atFordham University as adefensive back from 2006 to 2009. While at Fordham University, Brown earned abachelor's degree in business administration with a dual concentration in entrepreneurship and communications media management in 2010.[2] Brown then earned hisJuris Doctor degree fromBarry University School of Law inOrlando, Florida.[3]
In 2012, Brown began his NFL career and was hired by theNew York Jets as a pro personnel intern under general managerMike Tannenbaum.[4]
In 2013, Brown joinedBoston College as a recruiting specialist.[5] In 2014, he was promoted to assistant director of player personnel.[6]
In 2015, Brown was hired by theIndianapolis Colts as a scouting assistant under general managerRyan Grigson, before being promoted to advance scout in 2016.[7]
In 2017, Brown was hired by thePhiladelphia Eagles as their assistant director of pro scouting under general managerHowie Roseman. That year, the Eagles went toSuper Bowl LII and the team defeated theNew England Patriots 41–33 to win their first Super Bowl title in franchise history. On June 13, 2019, Brown was promoted director of pro scouting.[8] On May 27, 2021, Brown was promoted to director of player personnel.[9]
On February 7, 2022, Brown was hired by theNew York Giants as their assistant general manager under general managerJoe Schoen.[10][11]
