Braitling is a suburb of the town ofAlice Springs in theNorthern Territory, Australia. It is on the traditional Country of theArrernte people.[3]
The suburb is named after Bill andDoreen Braitling, who establishedMount Doreen Station in 1930.[4]
Arunga Park Speedway23°40′13″S133°52′33″E / 23.67028°S 133.87583°E /-23.67028; 133.87583 on the eastern edge of Braitling, off the Herbert Heritage Dr[5] hosted importantmotorcycle speedway events, including qualifying rounds of theSpeedway World Championship (starting in 1986).[6][7]
