Banzouzi Bradley Locko (born 6 May 2002) is a French professionalfootballer who plays as aleft-back forLigue 1 clubBrest.[3]

Club career

Locko was born inIvry-sur-Seine, Val-de-Marne,[4] and went through several football academies inParis suburbs, including CA Vitry andUS Ivry, before spending some years inMontrouge, from where he joinedFC Lorient in 2019.[5]

Bradley signed his first professional contract withStade de Reims in June 2020, spending his first year inChampagne with theNational 2 reserve team.[5][6][7][8]

He made his professional debut for Reims on 15 August 2021, starting theLigue 1 3–3 home draw againstMontpelier as aleft-back.[7][9] His performance was viewed as promising one, among a fairly young Reims team, with the likes ofIlan Kebbal andHugo Ekitike.[10]

On 31 January 2023, Locko joinedBrest on loan with an option to buy.[11] Later that year, on 27 July, Brest announced the permanent signing of Locko on a four-year contract,[12] for a reported fee of €500,000.[13] Later on, he was named in theTeam of the Year for the2023–24 season,[14] as his club secured a third-place finish in the league and first ever qualification to theUEFA Champions League.[15]

International career

On 8 July 2024, Locko was selected by managerThierry Henry to representFrance at the2024 Olympic Games.[16] He was a late substitute in thefinal, as France lost 5–3 toSpain.[17][18][19]

Personal life

Born in France, Locko holds French and Congolese nationalities.[20] His twin brother, Bryan Locko, is also a footballer who was with him in the academy ofLorient.[21]
