Bradley-Paul Burrowes (born 4 March 2008) is an English professionalfootballer who plays as amidfielder forPremier League clubAston Villa.
Burrowes started his career in theBristol Rovers academy – before being contacted byAston Villa's academy in 2021 who presented the then 13-year-old Burrowes' family with logistical plans for the move from Bristol to Birmingham.[2] Burrowes officially joined Aston Villa in May that year[3] and worked through the academy levels before signing his first professional contract on 10 March 2025.[4]
Burrowes was part of the Aston Villa U18 team that won the2024–25 Professional U18 Development League[5] and the2024–25 FA Youth Cup.[6]
On 31 August 2025, the 17-year-old made his professional debut as a second-half substitute in aPremier League defeat toCrystal Palace.[7]
Burrowes has featured for theEngland under-17 team.[8] He was included in the squad for the2025 UEFA European Under-17 Championship.[9] Burrowes started group games againstBelgium andItaly.[10][11]
In August 2025, Burrowes was included in anEngland U18 squad for the first time.[12] On 3 September 2025, he made his debut for the England U18s in a 3–1 victory overUzbekistan in theCosta de la Luz U18 International Tournament.[13]
In October 2025, Burrowes was named in the England squad for the2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup inQatar.[14] He provided an assist for a goal byReigan Heskey during the knockout stage victory againstSouth Korea.[15] Burrowes also started their next game as England were eliminated in the round of sixteen byAustria.[16]
Burrowes' father, also called Bradley, is a former weightlifter who represented England at the2014 Commonwealth Games[17][18] and who in 2007 broke a British record while competing at the South West Championships.[19]
He was educated atSt Mary Redcliffe and Temple School.[3]
