TheBowmore Sandstone Group is a sequence ofmetasedimentary rocks, dominantly sandstones, of probableNeoproterozoic age. Their outcrop on the island ofIslay in theInner Hebrides is entirelyfault-bounded, between the Loch Gruinart Fault to the west and the Loch Skerrols Shear Zone to the east.[1]
