Bourscheid (Luxembourgish:Buerschent[ˈbuːɐ̯ʃənt]ⓘ;German:Burscheid) is acommune and small town in north-easternLuxembourg. It is part of the canton ofDiekirch, which is part of the district ofDiekirch.
As of 2024[update], the town of Bourscheid, which lies in the centre of the commune, had a population of 458.[1] Other settlements within the commune includeGoebelsmuhle,Lipperscheid,Michelau,Schlindermanderscheid, andWelscheid.
Bourscheid Castle located close to the village is one of the most important medieval castles between theMeuse and theRhine.[2]
